Symbol Font is one of the four standard fonts available on all PostScript-based printers, starting with Apple’s original LaserWriter (1985). A symbol font is a specialized font that is composed of non-alphabetic characters, graphics, or both. Commonly, these fonts are used with programs to represent icons and other special program options.
