Eastern Rhodopes Font

Eastern Rhodopes is a font inspired by lettering found on the cover of Ivan Balkansky’s book “Eastern Rhodope Fortresses.” It is rooted in the stylistics of Slavic vyaz, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.
The typeface supports Cyrillic, Latin, and Glagolitic scripts, preserving the historical character and decorative expressive-ness of the original writing. Its numerous ligatures weave letters together just as eras, languages, and the stones of the Eastern Rhodopes intertwine.
