Feral flourish Font — Handwriting with a mind of its own. (OFL License)
Some handwriting was never meant to stay between the lines.
Feral flourish was born from real, spontaneous handwriting—the sort that loops when it pleases, stretches toward the sky, and occasionally forgets that straight lines exist.
Inspired by the wonderfully imperfect character of handwritten letters from decades past, this typeface captures the movement of an actual pen rather than the manufactured perfection of digital calligraphy.
Its wandering ascenders, expressive descenders, unpredictable little flourishes, and naturally uneven strokes are all part of its personality. Multiple letterforms, contextual alternates, ligatures, and punctuation variations help keep the writing alive, even when the words are typed.
There’s something distinctly nostalgic about it, like finding a handwritten note tucked into an old book, a letter from someone you once loved, or a message that wasn’t meant for anyone else’s eyes.
Lovingly developed from original handwriting samples and digitally refined, Feral flourish was designed to remain human, personal, and just a little unruly.
For letters, film props, journals, invitations, publications, and anything that deserves a human touch.
Feral flourish. Beautifully unbehaved.
