Kerub Font is somewhat peculiar and somewhat classical. The disrupted shapes are designed to both hint at the calligraphic origins of the letters as well as bring a mechanical aspect to the aesthetics. The mechanical nature is further enhanced by the use of sharp straight shapes in places where one would expect a curve. The serifs are sharp and curved at the same time and the proportions are condensed to work well in display typography.
Throughout the typeface one can sense a play between historical calligraphic forms and contrasting mechanical shapes.
The typeface supports both Latin and Cyrillic scripts.
