Onweer Font

Onweer Font is a slightly nostalgic take on Franklin Gothic, with a quiet luxury flavour that can be made louder through the slant axis, reaching dramatic angles of -20 and 20 degrees, or the more subtle contrast axis. The typeface takes little from its historical prototype and takes it in a radically different direction in Stylistic Set #3, featuring closed forms. Onweer โ€” equipped with four variable axes and available only as a variable font โ€” feels just as at home as a single letter on a fashionable tote bag as it does as three lines neatly stacked in a television broadcast title.

Itโ€™s versatile enough to cover the design needs of an entire media group, from catchy headlines and YouTube covers to internal printed documents. We dream of expanding Onweerโ€™s language support by adding Georgian and Armenian to the existing Latin and Cyrillic โ€” and will probably introduce yet another variable axis along the way.
