Puffling Font

Say hello to your new non-binary OpenType best friend. Puffling is a celebration of diversity, as they transition effortlessly to make your text shine in every imaginable style from the thinnest to the thicc-est, from the < w i d e s t > to the most >compressed<. In a world where typefaces abound, Puffling comes out, carving its own unique space. Literally… They're born from the raw, tactile charm of linocuts and woodcuts, embracing imperfection and materiality to infuse a warm, organic vibe into your designs. Even if they can fill every odd-sized box—Puffling isn't about fitting into boundaries. They're about making them fit around you or even busting out if necessary. The path to this glow-up from the previous version wasn't smooth—or short 😅—but like any worthwhile transition, the results are beautiful and surprising. The process was helmed by me, Romina—the extremely queer and self-proclaimed 'super-Trans' designer who's writing this— and brilliantly supported by the fantastic and fearless team at TortillaStudio. And I have to say: we're quite proud of what this little-big font has become. During this long journey of font discovery, our intern had a revelation that encapsulated everything: Puffling is so queer!. This isn’t just a typeface—it’s a realm where each character is a proud individual, fearlessly claiming its space while also harmoniously coexisting with their neighbors.
