Schmetterling Font is an elegant and beautiful display font. It combines two opposites, something super-readable and understandable to the viewer, and something very decorative, difficult to read. The second was based on German Gothic writing, mostly texture, but also rotunda, fraktur, etc. For something understandable and accessible, fonts like DIN grotesques were chosen. This genre of fonts is intended for railways, signs and pointers, road signs and house numbers. Schmetterling combines sharpness and softness, smoothness and angularity. The font has many stylistic sets for uppercase and lowercase letters, which give the designer the opportunity to experiment with the rhythm and shapes of the signs. This font is well suited for headings, for large display inscriptions. Suitable for web, (well hinted) for screensaver on video service or anywhere else where strong accent is needed. Large inscriptions in Schmetterling font interestingly complement interiors.
