Sig Font – A reimagining of Rudolf Koch’s Wallau, bringing Koch’s 1931 design into the 21st century. Wallau was conceived as being somewhere between blackletter and roman type, but nowadays it looks totally blackletter. Sig moves it back towards the roman end of the spectrum, doing away with a lot of Wallau’s anachronisms.
Sig started as Ethan’s revival project during the TypeMedia masters program at KABK and was awarded a TDC Certificate of Typographic Excellence in 2019.
