Coxx Font

Coxx Font is a bold and experimental grotesque-modular typeface, purposely built “without curves” — all letters are constructed from straight lines only, no Bézier-curves.

It has its roots in a poster design for a 2000 rave by DJ Carl Cox — the idea was to reflect the raw, energetic, high-tech vibe of techno and rave culture.

Coxx comes in two families: one “GAPS” variant that adds stylized gaps inside letterforms (yielding a deconstructed, futuristic feel), and one fully-filled variant for stronger readability.

The typeface includes a wide range: 14 weights/styles overall, and a variable-font with two axes (weight and gap size), giving designers flexibility to fine-tune stroke weight and spacing to fit both display headlines and graphic-heavy layouts.

With additional features like multiple figure-sets, stylistic alternates (e.g. alternate “a” and “g”), and broad Latin character set support (Central European, Baltic Latin, Western Latin, Turkish, etc.), Coxx is ready for international use in graphic projects that demand bold, edgy, and modern typographic personality.
