Digitale Font Family is a versatile geometric sans serif family, designed to offer a fresh take on a well-established genre. With its monolinear strokes and systematic proportions, Digitale is particularly suited for user interfaces, corporate branding, and editorial design, both for web and print. Its clear structure and variety of weights help create an effective hierarchy of information. One of Digitale’s defining features is its consistent top alignment, where cap-height, ascender height, and numeral height are all uniform. The tall x-height of the lowercase letters enhances readability, making it a practical choice for both text and display purposes.
The Digitale family includes 14 styles, consisting of 7 upright fonts and 7 italics, in addition to 2 variable fonts. Each variable font features a weight axis with 7 pre-defined instances, ranging from thin to extrabold, allowing for flexibility across different design needs.
Each Digitale font contains 518 glyphs, offering extensive customization through OpenType features. Stylistic alternates are available for a range of characters, including ‘G’, ‘I’, ‘M’, ‘a’, ‘g’, ‘i’, ‘j’, ‘l’, ‘t’, ‘y’, and the ampersand (‘&’), as well as the ordinal ‘ª’. The default forms of ‘a’ and ‘g’ are single-story, with the ‘g’ offering two alternate versions, one of which is notably open and distinctive. Both versions of the letter ‘t’ have angled tops, with the alternate form featuring a straight bottom right. Users can also switch between proportional and tabular figures, and subscript and superscript numbers are available, making Digitale a versatile tool for both creative and professional typography.
