Anormal Sans Font is a condensed, low contrast typeface with a high x-height, slightly angled terminals and an occasional disconnected stroke. The creation of Anormal Sans derived from a two week trip around Northern Italy, which put a spotlight on Italian Art Deco typefaces. These sans were abundant, from contemporary signage, to old wooden type found in printing shops, each one unique, ornamental and striking. Anormal Sans offers a casual, friendly sans and draws inspiration from these Italian Art Deco typefaces without resorting to stereotypes or gimmicks.
Anormal’s Art Deco heritage is apparent in characters such as /B, /G, /P and /S but many letters break from this stylistic norm. For example, the typeface includes a conservative /A and /N, a proportional /O and a standout lowercase /a. Overall, the combination of past and present creates a unique and eye-catching display typeface.
Anormal Sans V0.5 is available across 70 Styles, from light to black, from condensed to expanded, from upright to slanted with 1000+ characters including Latin extended, Cyrillic, Greek, numerals, punctuation and symbols. It includes some minimal kerning to characters such as the lowercase /r.
Due to its condensed nature Anormal Sans is ideal for use in posters, magazine headers, large type on the web and all sorts of other display settings. Anormal Sans is a dynamic, playful and contemporary sans with hints of the past, perfect for your next design project.
